What CSJ Projects Can Do For You
Project Initiation
Ready to go?
Are the required processes and reports in place? Can they be re-used for the next project?

Do they fit the project and meet the client's needs?

Are the team supported and have they had the right training?

CSJ Projects can create, assess and advise on these matters and work with you to establish a sound, re-usable set of PM tools that will provide a consistent and stable PM Office.

Project Recovery
It happens - projects go wrong for all sorts of reasons - and when it does quick, clear and visible action is required to re-establish control and retain the clients confidence by showing that the problem is being addressed.

CSJ Projects can be a "fresh pair of eyes" and assist you in identifying the causes, developing recovery plans and implementing them.

As with an audit or review, honesty and openness is essential.
Project Management
Ongoing supervision of works, costs, schedule, risk and quality. Tailored to match your requirements taking into account criticality, available resources, risks, duration, budget and your team environment.

Highlighting issues when they arise giving the sponsor early warning of potential issues.

Working with the delivery team to identify and eliminate risks and issues and dealing with them when they occur.

Making sure that the management team and the client have an accurate picture of the works at all times.

Audit and Review
What is going well and what is going less well?

Can we improve?
Save time?
Reduce costs?
Are the team content?

Regular reviews of projects is essential and are ideally carried out by a "fresh pair of eyes" - CSJ Projects can provide them.

Honesty and openness is essential in this phase and this will be delivered.
Training
Many projects do not require a full-time project manager but need somebody who knows the basics of PM to oversee them.

Training can be delivered as a stand alone activity or as part of a project's deliverable scope, i.e. on the job training.

Organisations need to maximise the use of the skills of their teams and often some basic training is all that is needed.

CSJ Projects can provide training to an agreed level over a period of time agreed with the client. Focus can be on the areas that are most important to provide cost effective benefit as quickly as possible.

Experience and Qualifications:
My name is Chris Johnson and I have been working in project delivery for most of my career. During that time I have worked in IT, Railway, Banking, Retail, Construction, Airline and Government sectors. Most of the projects I have worked on have had high H&S demands and some have been safety critical.

I was one of the first people in the UK to achieve Chartered Status from the Association for Project Management and am a Fellow of the APM.

I am a member of the British Computer Society and have BCS Chartered status.

Having worked in a wide range of environments and cultures with an equally wide range of project sponsors I have learned that whilst many of the problems we encounter in project delivery are similar, often the same or similar projects must be handled in an entirely different way in different business sectors and with different teams. Every client, every project and every culture is unique in some way.

My aim is and has always been to manage projects to a high standard with the minimum of effort.
